Editorial Policy

Source order

We prioritize first-party material: the official game website, official store listings, posts or videos published by the developer, and platform documentation when a platform feature needs context. A guide links the sources used for its current answer. Third-party databases can help detect a change, but they do not overrule a current first-party statement.

Announced facts and open questions

Pre-release games change. We distinguish features that have been publicly announced from details that remain unknown. A store's “To be announced” date is not converted into a predicted month. A one-copy statement is not automatically treated as cross-play confirmation. A trailer scene is described as what it depicts, not as proof of an unannounced system, chapter name, or mechanic.

Where two official pages emphasize different aspects, the guide gives each statement its proper scope. For example, the official FAQ explains the one-copy promise across announced platforms, while Steam separately lists Online Co-op and Remote Play Together for PC.

Writing and review

Each page starts with the direct answer a player needs, then explains the conditions, unknowns, and practical next steps. Titles and headings follow natural questions rather than repeating keywords. We avoid invented quotes, unsupported release leaks, copied store descriptions, and padded “wiki” pages that have no distinct purpose.

Pages carry a reviewed date. High-change pages—release date, playtest, platforms, online features, system requirements, and price—are checked when an official channel posts new information. Stable explainer pages are reviewed when their underlying source changes or a reader reports a credible correction.

Corrections

Corrections should be sent through the contact page with the affected URL and a public source. We correct material factual errors as soon as reasonably possible and update the review date. Small grammar or presentation edits may not receive an individual log entry. Material changes are summarized on the update log.

Commercial independence

Coverage decisions are based on player usefulness, not payment from a developer or platform. If advertising is introduced, ads will be separated from editorial content and will not change a guide's conclusion. Any future affiliate relationship or supplied review access will be disclosed near the relevant content.

Playtest and post-release coverage

When firsthand access becomes possible, walkthroughs will record the platform and game version used. Steps will be replayed where practical, screenshots will match the described location, and irreversible choices or spoilers will be signposted. Reader tips may lead to testing, but are not published as fact solely because they were submitted.
